- QCA, the Qt
Cryptographic Architecture (part of KDE4) uses parts of botan as
an

is a GPL password management tool for Windows, OS X, and Linux.
- eVersys is a GPL
alternative to Rational ClearCase.
- Monotone, a free distributed
version control system, uses botan for RSA authentication,
content hashing, and message authentication.
- Publimark, a
tool for hiding messages in an audio file.
- KeySafe,
a password application for GNOME
- Octopod is a
file sharing system.
- SuSE uses botan as part
of a test suite for the GCC optimizer.
- Openbench,
an open source benchmark suite, uses botan as a component.
- VNCcrack
is a password cracker for the VNC authentication/response protocol.
- Cutlass,
an encrypted P2P system providing IM, file transfer, and VoIP,
used botan.

- InSiTo is a
library for ePassports based on botan which was commissioned by
the German Federal Office for Information Security.

text editor with integrated strong cryptography.
- TextEgg is an encrypted document

- Trillian Astra,
Cerulean Studios newest IM client, uses botan
